Directions to the UMass Campus

The Campus Center is accessible from Campus Center Way, located off of Commonwealth Avenue on the west side of campus.

Parking in the Parking Garage is complementary for those staying at the UMass Hotel (adjacent to the Campus Center), and available at a rate of $5.00 per day for those staying elsewhere (voucher required).

By Air

Bradley International Airport (airport code BDL) is located 45 miles south of campus on I-91 in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Airlines serving Bradley include American, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, Northwest, Southwest, United, US Airways, and a number of regional carriers.

Boston’s Logan International Airport (airport code BOS) is situated 98 miles to the east, on the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90).  Boston Logan offers nonstop service to more than 72 domestic and 30 international destinations.

By Car

From the south (including Bradley Airport):

• Travel north on Interstate 91 to Exit 19 in Northampton.
• From the exit ramp, turn right onto Route 9.
• Travel approximately 4.5 miles to Route 116 North.
• Turn left onto Route 116 at traffic lights.
• Take the exit toward Univ of Mass./Amherst
• Turn right onto N. Hadley Road/Massachusetts Ave
• Turn left onto Commonwealth Ave
• At stoplight turn right onto Campus Center Way

From the north:

• Travel south on Interstate 91, take Exit 25 in Deerfield.
• At the end of the ramp, turn left and follow road to the intersection.
• Turn right onto Routes 5 & 10 South.
• Go 1 mile, then turn left onto Route 116 South.
• Follow 8 miles to the Univ. of Mass/Amherst exit.
• Turn left onto N. Hadley Road/Massachusetts Ave
• Turn left onto Commonwealth Ave
• At stoplight turn right onto Campus Center Way

From the east or west:

• From the Massachusetts Turnpike/I-90 take Exit 4 (West Springfield).
• Follow I-91 North to Exit 19.
• From the exit ramp, turn right onto Route 9.
• Travel approximately 4.5 miles to Route 116 North.
• Turn left onto Route 116 at traffic lights.
• Take the exit toward Univ of Mass./Amherst
• Turn right onto N. Hadley Road/Massachusetts Ave
• Turn left onto Commonwealth Ave
• At stoplight turn right onto Campus Center Way
